• Email address: To create your account and authenticate you

• Display name: To personalise your profile

• Profile picture: To display your avatar (stored in base64)

• Created content: Your sagas, books, character groups, and character images

No other data is automatically collected (no location data, no device ID, no tracking).

3. Legal Basis for Collection

We collect this data based on your explicit consent when you create an account. You may withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore, a service provided by Google LLC. Firebase operates in accordance with its own privacy policies and security measures.

• Cloud Storage: Your character and cover images are stored in base64 in Firestore

• Authentication: Your authentication is managed by Firebase Authentication

• Backups: We do not retain archived backups after your account is deleted

5. Third-Party Authentication

You may sign in via:

• Email/Password: Managed by Firebase Authentication

• Google Sign-In: Handles your authentication without collecting additional data beyond what is necessary

• Apple Sign-In: Handles your authentication without collecting additional data beyond what is necessary

These third-party services are subject to their own respective privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

Your data is never shared with third parties.

• It is stored exclusively with Firebase/Google

• We do not use advertisements or advertising partners

• We do not have individual access to your data outside of Application management

7. Retention Period

• During active use: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active

• After deletion: Your data is immediately deleted from Firestore

• No archiving: No archived backups are retained after deletion

8. Rights and Control

You have the right to:

• Access your data by consulting your account

• Edit your profile and your data

• Download your data (please contact us)

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time

• Withdraw your consent by deleting your account

Character Lab does not use cookies or tracking in the mobile Application. Our website is a simple landing page with no cookies or analytics tools.
